Brodey
This is Brodey. Brodey is a neutered male American Staffordshire and is up to date on vaccines. He was originally left behind when his owner went to jail and the owner’s family wanted Brodey to find the forever home that he deserves. Brodey was placed in a family with 4 children and has done exceptionally well. The ONLY problem is that Brodey is wanting to go after some of the dogs that pass by his house. He lives in a neighborhood where all of the homes and yards are very close together and there are alot of people walking by with their dogs. The fencing at his home is chain link so he sees everything. There are actually a couple of dogs in the yard next door that he has no issue with and he lived very happily in his foster home with 6 other dogs. This dog/dog issue that he has on occasion is actually a trainable behavior. He is excellent riding in the car and walking on the leash and is really a great family dog. He just may need a place with a little bit more room for him.
Nico
Nico is a neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier and is about 18 months old. Nico was left abandoned in an apartment after his owners moved out. A good samaritan found out about Nico from a friend living in that same apartment building and came to Nico’s rescue. The good samaritan was quite concerned for Nico’s well being a took him in, although he realizes he does not personally have enough time to properly care for a dog. He called us and fostered Nico until we could take him in. He is living in a foster home with 6 other dogs. He is getting along well with the other dogs but it was a slow process as he was initially like a “bull in a china shop”. He is very sweet and lovable and would do well with older children. He has been neutered, heartworm tested and vaccinated by us and is ready to go to a forever home.
Jesse & Bear
Bear and Jesse are brother and sister:
Jesse – female black lab mix – approx. 11 years old. Very sweet and friendly. Can be timid and shy. Great with people. She has a growth on her back leg that we plan to have surgically removed.
Bear – male black lab mix – approx. 10 years old. Very sweet and friendly. Great with people.
These dogs have lived togehter in a barn their entire lives but have interacted with the family that had them. They moved and had to leave them behind. It would be great if they could be kept together.
