Slash
Poor Slash!!! He was left at the firehouse (station 5) on the West side of Syr. He is an intact male, less than a year old. No scars but has a rough looking ear crop. It’s even but looks like it was done at home. He has a GREAT temperament. Seems to warm up to girls faster than men. He’s submissive but curious. VERY smart, eats well, and is housebroken. Likes to chase birds, but leaves the squirrels and cats alone. Plays well with other dogs of both sexes. He’s a kisser, relaxes quickly, and rides in the car very well. Doesn’t jump often but when he does he’s part kangaroo. He has a great coat but mosquitos like his belly.
Payton
Payton is a 4 yr old neutered male JRT. He was originally a rescue that had been found as a stray, suffering from Parvo and on the brink of death. Now his family just doesn’t have time for him and would like him to be somewhere that he would get the attention he deserves. Payton loves to cuddle. He will sit, shake with both hands, lay down, play dead, dance, say ‘please’ and a couple more. He really is a very obedient dog and has that typical terrier temperament.
Payton would be a great dog for a family with older children (about 10 years old) where they can properly play with him and give him positive attention. A couple without children would be great too as long as he gets enough attention and exercise.
Tank
Tank(bottom) is a young chihuahua mix. He was abandoned in a parking lot. A good samaritan took him in, neutered and vaccinated him and is now fostering him until he can be placed in a forever home. He appears to be atleast partially housebroken. He is getting along with other dogs and does not appear to be destructive (ie) not a chewer. Would do well in a home without small children or foot traffic. He gets nippy with people he does not know and is fear aggressive, and who can blame him as he has been on his own fending for himself. He will continue to become more social as he spends more time
getting love and affection
